General Motors recently hired renowned car guy Bob Lutz out of retirement to take a counseling position for senior management. Lutz previously worked at GM in the early 60's in Europe, and also as vice chairman in the 2000's, and is considered to be a driving factor in GM's dramatic turnaround. GM probably made a good move here because Lutz will help keep a focus on the product at GM.
